4M NEWS and EVENTS
*4M Network Extension*
We are pleased to announce that our Project Officer has agreed that the 4M NoE can apply for a 9 month extension to the contract, enabling us to continue working together through until 30th June 2009. The process to amend the contract has begun.
*4M2008 - Have you registered yet?*
4M2008, the 4th annual conference of the 4M Network of Excellence will be held on 9th – 11th September 2008 at the Julian Hodge, Cardiff, UK. To secure your place please register here by 13th August 2008. Full detailed programme now available.

The proceedings from our last conference has recently received a favourable book review in the IMechE Part B journal.
*Sensors & Actuators Division*
TU Vienna hosted a successful follow-up workshop on "cell handling and actuation" on June 19-20, 2008. Read about it here.
*The 4M Association*
To continue and sustain the relationships created during the lifetime of the Network we are going to form a 4M Association, which will be an Association open for membership to all from 1st October 2008. To learn more visit the 4M Association page.
*MINAM Session & Stand at MINAT*
The MINAM sub-ETP will have a Stand & Session at the MINAT trade fair in Stuttgart. The MINAM session will be on the opening day of the trade fair, Wednesday 7th of October 2008, and the opening session will be chaired by 4M. The stand will be there for the full duration of the fair and will exhibit the work of the MINAM stakeholders such as 4M and IPMMAN. We would like to invite all partners to participate in this event in Stuttgart. It is proposed to hold a 4M "sandpit" on integration in micro-manufacturing, in conjunction with the MINAM microcomponents EG. The webpage is here.
*MM Live 2008*
The 4M Network & Association will represent MINAM at this new show and exhibition on 21st and 22nd October 2008. Once again we plan to hold a "sandpit" to take advantage of the opportunity to discuss micro matters with the gathered industrialists.

*Fully Funded PhD Studentships in Singapore*
