International Workshop on Microfactories (IWMF 2008)

The Workshop will be held at Northwestern University (located just north of downtown Chicago), October 5-7, 2008.
The deadline for submitting an Abstract is April 15, 2008.

IWMF’2008 will focus on the state-of-the-art research and development related to reducing the physical scale of processes and machines and their integration into “microfactories” to be used for the manufacture of many current and future micro- and nano-scale products. IWMF’2008 will address issues ranging from micro- and nano-scale manufacturing phenomena through miniaturization of machines, processes and systems to commercialization, economic and environmental impact of icrofactories. The workshop will consist of plenary talks, invited talks, contributed oral and poster presentations and will provide opportunities for communication and collaboration between industry and academia.
