4M NEWS and EVENTS

*4M2008*
The 4th International Conference on Multi-Material Micro Manufacture (4M2008) will be held in Cardiff, UK on 9th - 11th September 2008. Our thanks to all those who have submitted papers. The review process is now underway and all authors will be notified of the status of their paper on 27th March 2008.

*Oxford Lasers to sponsor 4M2008*

*Technology Maturity Level*
A workshop took place in Munich with participation of those who attended the 4M Governing Council in Munich. Report.

*The 4M Association*
The EC funding for the 4M NoE finishes at the end of September 2008. To continue and sustain the relationships created during the lifetime of the Network we are going to form a 4M Association, which will be an Association open for membership to all, by subscription. *4M Cross-Divisional Projects*
To those of you active in the current round of projects, this is a polite reminder that many of them are due to be completed at the end of March.

*4M Summer School*
Following the success of last year's first 4M Summer School, we are pleased to announce that the Technical University of Denmark (Partner 19) have agreed to host this again and the dates this year will be Monday 23rd June to Friday 4th July 2008. More details to follow.

*Multi-Material Micro Manufacture - Challenges and Opportunities*
An article under this title from 4M appeared recently in the first edition of the new magazine called Micro Manufacturing magazine. Many of you will have already received this publication. If not you can subscribe free of charge at www.micromanu.com .

*4M Knowledge Repository*
The 4M Knowledge Repository aims to make available a public archive of papers and other 4M publications in a searchable and downloadable form. In the first phase we've put on the website the papers from the 4M2007 conference. We are in the process of uploading and cataloguing the papers from previous conferences. They will be made public, when we get the copyright back from the publisher. In the next phase, 4M partners will be able to upload their own papers, as long as they have the appropriate copyright. You can take a look yourself and let us have any comments or suggestions.
