Third 4M Special Issue now published.

The third Special Issue on Multi-Material Micromanufacture has now been published in print and online in the Proceedings of the IMechE, Part B: Journal of Engineering Manufacture (Vol. 222, No. B1).

The focus of this Special Issue is on manufacturing challenges associated with emerging microsystems-based products. The Issue is prepared from selected contributions to the Second Multi-Material Micro Manufacture Conference in Grenoble, France (4M2006) organized by the 4M Network of Excellence. In particular, the selected papers discuss the creation of manufacturing capabilities for broadening the range of microsystems-based products and simultaneously to multiply their functionality through the convergence of new materials and precision engineering technologies for their processing with IC-based, batch-fabrication processes.
