NMS Workshop in Budapest

4M&P4micro Workshop on Micro Optics and Micro Tooling will be held in BME, Budapest, Hungary on 6th September 2007.

The aim of the event is to introduce the most advanced manufacturing technology for glass and plastic lenses, the background of the optical lens production, and to provide the new high tech knowledge for the interested industrial bodies.

Invited speakers of the Workshop are selected by the researchers in Production4μ Integrated Project and 4M Network of Excellence.

The Workshop is divided into three sections:

1. Practices in optical lens production (Organized by BME - Budapest)
2. High precision glass moulding of optical components - challenges, research and solutions (Organized by IPT – Aachen)
3. Ultraprecision machining for mould (Organized by Hungarian Tool Maker’s Association)

The Workshop is also supported by the Hungarian Tool Maker’s Assocoation and Scientific Society of Mechanical Engineering

Participation in the Workshop is free, but advance registration is necessary
