*4M2007*
With over 75 papers submitted by the deadline of 28th February, the submission site has been kept open until 7th March. However by this deadline papers must be submitted and the pdf approved! Submit your paper(s) via the submission site.
Guidelines for preparing and submitting the paper(s) are still available on the 4M2007 Conference website here. Please note!!!! Papers MUST be submitted ONLY in Microsoft Word format and should follow the template provided.

*Videoconferencing Update*
The 4M videoconferencing system has now been updated. 4M partners are invited to update their systems via the videoconferencing webpage.

*4M International Visits*
It is possible for international visits to be made by 4M partners, to enable completion of questionnaires/visit reports, with 4M funding of up to 1000Euro per person to support each visit. A total of 40 visits are budgeted. We would be glad to receive your plans for International Visits using the application form. The documentation for these visits can be found: here.

*4th Call for 4M Cross-Divisional Projects*
As reported last month 16 proposals were received. Following the assessment, the EB has proposed that the eight proposals receiving the highest scores be selected for funding. Leaders of those proposals have been contacted directly.

*Special Issue from 4M2006*
A 4M Special Issue featuring selected papers from the 4M2006 Conference is in preparation. It will be published in the Proceedings of IMechE, Part B, B1, at some time in 2008. See a list of the proposed contributions here.

*Swedish Industrial Metrology Forum*
Our 4M colleague Lars Mattsson has been instrumental in setting up this forum (SIMET), and their new website is launched here.

*22nd - 23rd March 2007*
An important MINOS brokerage event is organised in Bucharest. The Director for "Industrial Technologies", DG Research, Nicholas Hartley is attending.
A plenary session on morning of 22nd is followed by a brokerage session in the afternoon. 4M Partners with research offers/requests are invited to attend to seek partners for future FP7 proposals.
The meeting continues on 23rd as a joint MINOS-NEXUS event focussing on ICT (micro-nano-bio-opto) in FP7. This will be attended by Dirk Beernaert, Head of Unit "Nanoelectronics" at EC. For more information view this event page.

*18th April 2007*
Joint meeting of Ceramics and Micro-sensors and Actuators Divisions, Hanover. Due to the Hanover Fair the hotel situation is difficult. However a block booking of 10 rooms in Hotel Schweizer Hof (3***),Hindenburgplatz 6, 31134 Hildesheim has been made. Any queries, please contact Per Johander as soon as possible. More information.

*27th April 2007*
Micro-sensors & Actuators Division are organising a Divisional Meeting in Vienna, hosted by ISAS. This will include a Task Meeting for Implantable Sensors and Actuators (Task 11.4) and a small industrial Workshop. For more information view this event page.

*7th - 9th June 2007*
HARMST-007, the 7th International Workshop on High-Aspect-Ratio Micro-Structures Technology will take place in Besancon, France. More information on their website.

*28th - 29th June 2007*
4M Executive Board Meeting. To be hosted by ISAS, TUWien in Vienna, Austria. More information will be available soon on the event page.

*3rd - 5th October 2007*
4M's 3rd annual conference, 4M2007, which this year takes place in Borovets, Bulgaria. All you need to know is on the website.

*15th - 16th November 2007*
Provisional date for 4M Governing Council and Annual Review meeting.
