Business and Technology Challenges in Micro-Manufacturing A one-day workshop in Cardiff, Wales, UK, 11th April 2006,
Cardiff, Wales, UK
4M Network
On the 11th April, Cardiff University Innovative Manufacturing Research Centre is hosting a one day workshop on behalf of UK and European micro-manufacturing industry and academia. The event, co-sponsored by the 4M Network of Excellence, has an exciting agenda aimed at bridging the gap between university and company approaches to micro-manufacturing technology development, so as to enable far greater uptake of current research outputs by European manufacturers.
The day will comprise a mixture of talks, networking opportunities and poster sessions and will culminate in a open expert panel session; “Setting a commercially viable agenda for the transfer of micro-manufacturing technologies between research organisations and industry in Europe”.
Speakers include manufacturing experts from both academia and industry along with representatives from the European Commission, UK Department of Trade and Industry and UK Research Councils. We will also be joined by experts in the commercialisation of cutting edge technologies. All attendees will have the opportunity to display posters or bring stands.
The event is free. However, attendance is by invitation only and numbers are limited. The deadline for registration, which will be on a first come first served basis, is Friday 17th March 2006. If you wish to register please contact to Contact Rebecca Harvey (Tel: +44 (0)2920 879611)
